Major maintenance work on the North West and West network this Sunday, 24 April

Eneo Cameroon announces to its North West customers that this Sunday, 24 April 2016, from 6:30 AM   to 5:30 PM, some major work will take place on the transmission network serving them.

This maintenance work concerns the Bafoussam transformer substation and the Nkongsamba-Bafoussam-Bamenda transmission line. The substation work involves reinforcing the operation equipment. The transmission line work involves:

• Repairing damaged conductors
• Replacing broken isolators
• Removing bird nests
• Felling trees that obstruct the corridors 

This work will help to improve the availability and reliability of the power system and reduce the risks of incidents that might cause power failure of long durations in these regions.

While this work is in progress, Eneo, for safety reasons, shall interrupt power supply to the North West and West regions.

Eneo Cameroon strongly advices its customers to disconnect their sensitive appliances throughout the duration of the work and to reconnect them at least 15 minutes after the effective restoration of power.
