ENEO Cameroon's Board appoints new General Manager

Meeting today in Yaoundé, a special session of the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Amine Homman Ludiye as the new General Manager of ENEO Cameroon, after Mr. Patrick Eeckelers' decision to step down. 

Mr. Patrick Eeckelers joined Eneo in January 2022 as Special Adviser before becoming General Manager in March 2022.

During his 18 months of tenure, Mr. Eeckelers’ focus areas were signing of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement and operational excellence, by enhancing financial management and driving the performance indicators of ENEO.

“Today, ENEO has a clearer investment vision for the years ahead, in contribution to the sector’s goals. With proper funding, and more collaboration with other actors, I believe the sector can meet the growing electricity needs of households, businesses and industries. I am convinced that the management and workforce in place are up to the task.”, said Mr. Eeckelers.

Mr. Amine Homman Ludiye joined the company in 2021 as Deputy CEO in charge of Generation, before his appointment in 2022 as an ENEO Board Director.

He is an engineer in Energy graduated from Ecole Polytech of Nantes, and holds a Master from the IAE Nancy School of Management and an Executive Master's degree in Innovation and New Technologies from Ecole Polytechnique de Paris.

With close to 30 years of compound experience, he started his career in 1995 in France in IDEX group, a company specialized in energy services and energy efficiency. Before joining ENEO is curricula includes holding of various positions as project engineer, agency manager and then Regional Director, before joining ENGIE in 2010 as CEO of COFELY in Morocco where he developed the energy services and facility management activities in North Africa.

In 2015, he was appointed CEO of ENGIE North Africa in charge of ENGIE's activities (Renewable Energy, Energy Infrastructure and Energy Services) for Morocco-Algeria-Tunisia-Libya and Egypt, where he also held various directorships until 2020.
