Disruption of Electricity Service in the South Interconnected Grid

Generation constraints in the electricity network, due to a drop in the water level in the Ntem River, will cause rationing of electricity in the Centre, South, East, Littoral, West, North-West and South-West Regions.

The Electricity Development Corporation (EDC) has informed Eneo of a persistent drop in generation at the Memve'ele Hydroelectric Power Station until March.

Despite the contribution of thermal power stations, the deficit between supply and demand will not be fully met during this period. Hence, Eneo has drawn up a rationing programme for the supply of electricity.

All stakeholders in the sector, including the Government, are working to minimise the inconvenience of this situation.

The outage programme, which you can consult on the website of Eneo Cameroon at www.eneocameroon.cm, will be updated progressively. See the direct link at https://bit.ly/EneoPowerOutageProgram

Eneo is in solidarity with its customers and recommends them to adopt energy-saving and safety measures.
